to Chris Cothran as President,

| Chris
Cothran served as President of SRBA for 2 1/2 years, and he did
an excellent job! His main objective for our association, was to
offer as many educational opportunities to our members as possible.
To accomplish this goal, we had 4 workshops last year and will have 3 this
year; as well as, our 2 conventions. He strived to have something on
each program for every type of bakery. He challenged each workshop
& convention attendee to take back just one or two new ideas and put
them to use in their business, because he knew from experience that it
would more than pay for the time & money spent on
attending. |

| Since 2003, Chris has served on our Board of Directors and then as an officer. Attending SRBA meetings and events has demanded a lot of his time away from his bakery, Cothran's Bakery, in Gadsden, Alabama; but he will tell you that what he has learned by being an active member of SRBA has greatly increase & improved his business. We aren't really saying "Good-bye" to Chris, because as Past President he will continue to serve on our Board. | ||||
| As Chris steps down, we welcome Krysti Bennett as our new President. Krysti is following in the footsteps of her father Gary Polletta, a past SRBA President & Board Member Emeritus. In 2004, Krysti was elected to the SRBA Board of Directors, where she has served the association well. She has been co-chairperson for our Baked Foods Contest, at our conventions, for 5 years; chaired our membership committee for two years; been on the program of many workshops & convention; helped start up a SRBA Facebook page; and served the association in many other capacities. Krysti is married to Chad Bennett and mother to two teenage daughters; as well as, being a co-owner of Edgewood Bakery, in Jacksonville, Florida. Let us all give Krysti our support as our new President! | ||||
