Your SRBA Board feels that it is our duty to provide our members with opportunities where they can learn about new techniques, products, and services that can improve their business and working conditions.  This is the reason we plan two or more workshops and one convention each year.  These events are held in different areas that our association covers, so as to make them convenient to our membership.
Our 2009 Atlanta convention, was held at the Wyndham - Peachtree City Conference Center, in Peachtree City, Georgia, which is just south of the Atlanta airport.  It has a great weekend of learning and sharing.  We had over 360 people register and 47 allied booths.  The convention had something for every bakery no matter the size or product line, and the weekend was filled with endless networking possibilities.
We had two workshops in 2009. One in January at Custom Cakes in Savannah, Georgia; did YOU miss it?  Check out their web pages for pictures from this workshop.  Our second workshop was in June at Peggy Ann Bakery, in Greenville, Tennessee.  You can see pictures for that workshop on it's web page.

Our conventions and workshops give bakers, decorators, and salespeople, the chance to come together and share ideas, problems, and solutions to those problems.  During this time of economic problems, attending both conventions and workshops are well worth your time and expense of attending!
